Association of Business Executives (ABE)

The Association of Business Executives (ABE) recently celebrated its 40th anniversary having been founded in 1973 to provide qualifications for professionals in business. It is both an awarding organisation and a membership body and has around 50,000 students worldwide. ABE qualifications provide progression routes to bachelor degree and Masters programmes worldwide.

iQualify UK has a partnership with ABE to deliver its qualifications to the corporate market by providing organisations with their own customisable online Corporate Learning Academy.

International Association of Bookkeepers (IAB)

The IAB has 10,000 members in 60 countries, and is one of the most prestigious not-for-profit organisations for professional bookkeepers in the world. It is recognised by Ofqual, the UK Government’s regulatory body, as an Awarding Organisation and is both a government-approved and statutory supervisory body. Through setting world-class standards, it offers students worldwide the chance to gain the very best financial qualifications – as well as lifelong skills. Founded in 1973, the IAB initially rose to fame as an examining association, but now through membership, it supports and regulates bookkeeping professionals on their career path. iQualify UK delivers IAB qualifications on behalf of our sister company, Cloud iLearn.

NCFE was founded more than 150 years ago as the National Union of Mechanics (NUMI) in 1848. In 1920, it became the Northern Counties Technical Examinations Council (NCTEC or ‘Northern Counties’ as it became affectionately known) and, supported by nine Northern UK Local Education Authorities, provided examinations for technical colleges, schools and other centres for over sixty years until 1981. In 1981, the Northern Advisory Council for Further Education (NACFE), which was established in 1947 to co-ordinate further education provision throughout the nine Northern Local Education Authorities, merged with the NCTEC to become the Northern Council for Further Education. When the further education sector was incorporated (made independent of the government) in the early 1990s the company felt the old name was incompatible with its new national focus, and has since then been identified simply as NCFE, with the letters no longer being an acronym.

NCFE today is recognised by Ofqual as a UK national Awarding Organisation, offering over 500 qualifications at different levels and in a wide range of subject areas. NCFE recognise the skills, knowledge and understanding achieved by a learner at a particular level and in a particular subject. iQualify UK delivers NCFE qualifications on behalf of our sister company, Cloud iLearn.

Magna Carta College

The inspiration for the name of the college comes from the document Magna Carta. This was the first document to put into writing the principle that the king and his government was not above the law. It sought to prevent the king from exploiting his power, and placed limits of royal authority by establishing law as a power in itself.

The college, an independent business school, was founded in 2008 by Professor David Faulkner. Just as Magna Carta, the Great Charter, brought democracy to the citizens, the college’s mission is to bring the best available teaching to a global community of citizens.

Magna Carta College delivers university MBAs online and accepts LRN Level 7 Diploma in Business Management holders for enhanced entry.
