Recognition

Analyse leadership principles that support an organisation’s vision, values and strategic direction. Assess the drivers for and the impact of change for an organisation. Additionally, analyse how to plan and lead the change process for an organisation. Evaluate the skills required to lead strategic change.

Evaluate the skills required to lead strategic change

Evaluate strategic concepts and different approaches to strategy in diverse and contemporary challenging business contexts. Assess organisational capability to respond to changes and developments in the business environment. Evaluate an appropriate range of development options on which to base business strategy. Apply techniques to support recommendations for strategic decision-making in different contexts.

Developing International Markets

Analyse the key characteristics of the international globalised business environment. Evaluate strategic international marketing opportunities. Appraise the suitability of alternative market entry methods as part of the formulation of an international strategy. Examine and justify relevant marketing strategies within different cross-cultural settings, applying them to real life case studies.

Business Ethics and Sustainability

Evaluate differing approaches to business ethics. Analyse the core principles of corporate social responsibility. Assess the opportunities and challenges for a range of organisations to develop ethical business practice through corporate social responsibility policies and reporting. Analyse the core principles of sustainability in relation to businesses. Analyse the influence of organisational culture and leadership on business ethics with a focus on marketing and human resource management.

Strategic stakeholder Relationships

Assess an organisation’s stakeholders in order to determine their strategic influence and impact in relation to a particular project. Review the process of engaging with stakeholders and developing an appropriate engagement plan. Develop relevant communication approaches and messages that would be used at each stage of the stakeholder engagement plan. Recommend how to deal with the stakeholder resistance that might be encountered with a project’s objectives and the way a project is planned to be implemented.

Corporate Finance

Analyse the factors that influence capital structure decisions and strategy and also evaluate alternative sources of finance to ensure that financing decisions reflect the strategic objectives and strategic circumstances of the business. Evaluate approaches to the calculation of the cost of capital that take account of techniques for the valuation of equity and different types of risk. Assess the strategic objectives and environment in which the business operates in order to decide on appropriate advanced investment appraisal techniques.

Advance Project management

Analyse the organisational and strategic management issues concerned with project and programme management. Analyse the importance of the human aspects of project management, including leadership, management, teamwork, knowledge management and communication. Discuss the strategic responsibilities of a project/programme manager and role of partnerships in project management.

What is ABE Level 6 equivalent to?

Once you would have completed your ABE Level 6, this advanced diploma will be considered equivalent to a Bachelors in Business Administration degree.

There are six units in total and each one should take 200 hours total qualification time, which is the total time you are likely to spend studying including all your time spent on listening to the lectures, reading the online information, reading the workbooks, using the software, undertaking the exercises, discussions with other students and completing the assignments or revising for the exam. The qualification is taught online, so you can start at any time as you are not restricted by term times. You will receive your log in and password for the Teaching Zone as soon as we have received payment. All you need is Internet access!
